Field Technician We're looking for a flexible person who likes to work with their hands for a Field Technician position. The Field Technician performs a variety of hands-on tasks at job sites in a supporting role on industrial/environmental, remediation and maintenance projects. Works on site and at shop independently or with crew to accomplish site work such as:vacuum excavation, line jetting, spill remediation, contamination removal, filtration system changeouts, confined space entry work and scheduled facility maintenance.
Uses a variety of construction tools, small machinery and heavy machinery to complete work, including, but not limited to, hand tools, pressure washers, air compressors, jackhammers and vacuum tracks. Also assists operators of sewer combination trucks.
Participates in set up and closing preparation / organization daily, including necessary paperwork.
The Field Tech works physically - climbs ladders and steps, uses lifts and cherry pickers, and works in confined spaces such as manholes, catch basins, industrial ovens and air ducts. Field techs can lift 50 pounds alone or 100+ pounds with assistance.
Wears safety equipment when required including Tyvek suits, rubber boots, safety gloves and respirators with aqua pressure tanks. Uses harnesses and tie-offs when required. Completes & maintains all required safety training.
Communicates with other personnel daily / more often for clarity, unforeseen work situations and urgent issues and communicates with onsite customer personnel when required.
Minimum Education / Work Experience:
Experience as a hands-on laborer in one or more of the industrial trades, environmental cleaning experience preferred.
Certified or ability to be certified in CPR and CSE. Basic OSHA knowledge.
HS diploma
Working knowledge of hand tools, equipment and safety precautions in the industrial trades.
Ability to use or be trained in Drop Box and Office software..
